#19 Databases

NVDPL subscribes to a number of databases where our patrons (and ourselves) can find newspaper articles, auto repair manuals, talking picture books, and suggestions for what to read next.

How many of these have you taken a look at yourself? This week we'd like you to explore a couple of databases that are new or unfamiliar to you.

Discovery Exercise:

1. Read through the descriptions of the databases that we subscribe to.
   
2. Choose two or three databases that are new or less familiar to you, and see what they have to offer. Try a few test searches, and see what you find.
   
3. Write about your experience on your blog. You might want to think about how easy or difficult you found the database, whether you found what you were hoping to or not, or who you think the database might be useful for.

Bonus: Write a review of one of the databases and post it in the comments for this "thing."
